Man UTD’s Season’s Best Player Hints at Exit this Summer

The Portuguese superstar, Bruno Fernandes, recently implied he may be leaving the Red Devils after this season’s run. He is the club’s best player this season and has been on the watch of many other European top teams. Would he actually leave this summer? Here are his words in a recent interview.

Bruno Fernandes Suggests He May Leave Man UTD This Summer

Fernandes suggests a potential summer departure in an interview with a Portuguese outlet. He wasn’t very clear about this, in fact, he emphasized that discussions about his future will be postponed until after Euro 2024, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“Obviously, it doesn’t just depend on me, does it? A player always has to want to be here, but, at the same time, you have to want him to stay. At the moment, I feel there’s that on both sides. I’m not thinking too much about the future, not least because, obviously, this season hasn’t been at the level I’d hoped for, either individually or collectively, so far. We could still end the season by winning the [FA] Cup. After that, we have a very important Euros coming up,” said Fernandes.

‘So, if you want me to be very honest, if I have to think about not continuing in the Premier League, it won’t be until after the Euros because nothing will be able to take my focus away from the FA Cup final and the Euros, as there’s nothing more important than that at the moment.”

All these notwithstanding, the 29-year-old midfielder has had quite a good run so far, leading the team with 15 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
